[C.A.G.E.D.] Community Against the Glorification of Eating Disorders
sing a freedom song.
| caged 2.0 12/08/06 @ 2:22 p.m. Yes, this is... of all things... an actual update. C.A.G.E.D. has grown rather dusty over the past couple of years, as we all rightfully focused on what we thought best. For several reasons, I've been compelled recently to revive this community, a process I'm attempting to start with this entry. I'd like to see C.A.G.E.D. gain vitality in the pursuit of all its old goals, as well as a new one. We remain a community committed to discussing the experience of eating disorders (from all angles) as well as the glorification of them. All are welcome to submit entries. You can find more information on submissions on these two pages. A new goal, for this generation of C.A.G.E.D., is to inform members of opportunities to actively participate in spreading ED awareness and working toward accessible health care and other important goals. We will now be accepting information on efforts (such as petitions, fundraisers, related organizations) related to this issue along with other entries. Feel free (feel encouraged) to give a shout and let me know you're here, if you still are. And please let other people know of the existence of this site. I know it will take awhile for us to build up, but I think in time, we can do more good for each other than we even have before. Oh, and note that C.A.G.E.D. is also being constructed on Take care, spread the word, and hey - send a post! :) |
